Egg Art
- decorated eggs - there are endless designs used in this craft and many of
today's designers have been inspired by the Russian Jeweler Carl Faberge.
However the use of real egg shells, (including goose, rhea and ostrich) has
evolved, and most of today's offerings in the art sense undoubtedly stem from
the output of several noted American egg artists. There are several publications
detailing their work. Libraries are an excellent source for obtaining an
introduction into the art and craft of decorating eggs.
